denon 3930 modded by the upgrade company

I have been looking for a new cd player and am interested in the denon 3930 SE modded by the upgrade company, I was curious if others have heard this player or have purchased it and how they thought it preformed. I have read alot of good comments about it, thanks all

I think Elizabeth has no idea who or what she is talking about. I have had 10 different components upgraded by Dave at the Upgrade Co, and have had no issues at all, and am very satisfied. To address the points very specifically;
1. What Dave charges is less than any other modders
2. Yes, the mfg warranty is voided but then I have never had anything that David worked on break down
3. Everthing comes back within a week! Not months
4. None of my equipment has been damaged by David.
5. Everything sounds a LOT beter after his upgrades, with no downsides.

So go for it, you will be very happy you did.

Don't spend thousands more on a player that will not outperform an Upgrade Co. upgraded Denon 3930. The results of Mr. Schulte's upgrades are well worth it. I have been very happy with everything he has upgraded for me.

the upgrade co. is top notch and my 3930 gets better every day. i have been over to the co. and reviewed a lot of eq. before purchasing. dave goes out of his way to please you.

Kedoades, if you make it over there you will be glad you did. I have had the EMM Labs CDSA SE unit in my system for a week and it is a great player. Most People who have this player are not going to be dissatisfied either. I know I will not be owning one anytime soon due to the fact that my Upgrade Company Denon 2900 is in this league. I have had 3 upgraded units and they all to this day perform flawlessly.
I sure would like to know Elizabeths experiences with TUC and what unit she had. Oh and welcome to Audiogon!

Obviously, Elizabeth has never dealt with The Upgrade Company. Dave is truly first rate and the performance upgrade is remarkable. Everything Billhilleary says above is 100% the truth. I own 4 pieces that Dave has done upgrades on and all have been back in my posession within a week. I own the Denon 3910 with the signature mod and it is outstanding. A couple of weeks ago, Dave emailed and told me of some new parts that he had come across that would make the unit perform even better. He had me ship the unit to him and he upgraded those parts free of charge. Again, turnaround was less than a week. I know of NOONE else that would take care of a customer this way. If you are still uneasy, call The Upgrade Company. You will talk to Dave personally and he will set you at ease.
It should not need to be said, but you should never trash something that you know nothing aobut. It really makes you sound incredibly ignorant, arrogant, or both. I find it hard to believe I should have to defend someone with as much integrity as Dave form someone without a clue.

I to am a 150% satisfied Upgrade Company customer,and i can tell you,all of you non-believers,that Dave is the real deal.I really dont think that Elizabeth has ever upgraded or modded anything,thus the intense skepticism.I know for a fact to say that a stock player does not sound any differnt than a Upgrade Company unit is absolutely WRONG! The difference is nite and day my friend,and any one of Daves customers will be glad to email you or talk you to death about the new levels of audio nirvana that we have reached with our TUC unit,dont knock something until you try it.Kedoades,dont waste your money,get a TUC unit now and hear for yourself what you have been missing!

Kedoades, I now have a new Denon 5910 with SE upgrades and after putting 150 hours on it all I can say is it has surpassed my expectations by a mile already. I can't imagine what this unit will sound like after full break in. If the new 3930ci's that Dave is doing currently are anywhere near this machine then I know you would be extremely happy. The EMM cdsa se unit I had here would not stand a chance and I have no idea what league the 5910 would be in now. All I know is it should be entered in a shootout to see where it stands.
